Cathodic protection is one of the best way to protect anodes and cathodes from corrosion. The principle of cathodic protection is to connect an external anode to the metal and passing an electrical DC current so that all areas of the metal surface become cathodic and therefore do not corrode.

Most commonly cathodic protection is used to prevent corrosion in underground pipelines, storage tanks, petroleum pipelines, offshore platforms, submarines, and other industrial uses. Piggy pack wire anodes connected with cable by the way of Crimping and sealing with mastic and heat shrink sleeve procedure. Tiaano has the in-house facility to crimp the anodes in LIDA and CPCC connections.

The piggy pack anodes are inserted in the jacket with coke fill to sustain the conductivity of the anodes in the place where we install them for cathodic protection.
